Adventures with
Mum and Aunty Norrie
#20

A phone call came through early Sunday morning from the Carer who sees Norrie on the weekend. She advised me that Norrie had told her that she suffered a diarrhea attack during the night. The Carer also said that Norrie had complained it was her new medication that was upsetting her and that because she was so worried that it would occur again Norrie didn’t want to go to church that morning.

I explained to the weekend Carer that Norrie’s medication was the same, there was no change in her actual tablets; just the way of dispensing them had been changed. They had previously been in individual daily packets, but were now dispensed by the Pharmacist in a weekly Webster-Pak.

After we hung up the Carer suggested to Norrie that she lie down and rest, and had then made her a cup of tea and some plain toast. A while later the Carer had phoned me back to say that Norrie was calm and resting peacefully.
